About Initiative:

Antyodaya India is an initiative by SAFL India Foundation. We worked with flood-affected people in Assam.
People in Assam are faced unimaginable difficulties because of the floods that came at a time of the coronavirus crisis, otherwise, floods are nothing new for Assam state, however, compounded by the coronavirus crisis.
Highlights:​

Over 50 lakh, people in Assam have been affected by floods.

Over 28 districts have been affected in the state.

The death toll due to the floods has gone up to 150+.
-
The floodwaters have submerged 212K hectares of croplands, affected 4,053 villages under 60 revenue circles.
-
A total of 30K people have taken shelter at 300+ relief camps, roads, embankments, and other safer places.
-
The novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has added to the challenge, particularly in the flood relief camps.
